Shelter Assistance Provided to Returning Families in Baghlan Province
The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) has extended vital humanitarian assistance to 50 repatriated families in Baghlan province, providing them with family-sized tents to ensure safe and dignified temporary shelter as they rebuild their lives.
These families, recently returned from displacement, are among the most vulnerable populations facing the challenge of resettling in areas lacking adequate housing and infrastructure. The ARCS team, in coordination with local authorities, community leaders, and volunteers, carried out the distribution to ensure that support reached those in greatest need.
“Our mission is to stand beside families during their most difficult times,” said ARCS, Head of Disaster Management Department, ARCS. “Providing emergency shelter not only protects them from harsh weather but also restores a sense of security and hope as they begin the process of rebuilding their lives.”
With the onset of colder weather, these tents serve as a crucial source of protection for the affected families, many of whom currently have limited access to permanent housing. The ARCS continues to assess the evolving needs of repatriated and internally displaced families in the region to deliver timely and effective humanitarian support.
This initiative is part of the Afghan Red Crescent Society’s ongoing humanitarian response across Afghanistan, focusing on providing emergency relief, healthcare, livelihood support, and disaster preparedness programs. Through these efforts, ARCS remains committed to alleviating human suffering and promoting community resilience in all corners of the country.
The ARCS expresses its sincere gratitude to its volunteers, donors, and partners whose dedication and cooperation make such life-saving interventions possible.
